The Fall 2023 Software Update introduces a range of interface improvements and an exciting addition of new vehicles specifically for our VC5 users. As always, these updates are available at no extra cost for our users!
Data Animation Control
The Data Animation Control tool now features a linear interpolation option. This is particularly useful for datasets with sparse time-series data, like GPS-based locations or locations from camera matching. For instance, in the example show below, a truck is positioned using GPS every second. Each value of X, Y, Z, yaw, pitch, roll is specified by user input every second. Between these datapoints, values are interpolated using linear interpolation.
Scale Tool
The default scale size for an image in the “scaled image” mode will now adjust according to the pixel size of the image, offering a better user experience.
The scale tool will now display the scale distance (in red) in the project's distance units.

Select, Move and Align | Images
In the “scaled image” mode, when the mouse cursor control is set to “Select, Move and Align”, the default scaling adapts with the image pixel size for enhanced ease of use.
Select, Move and Align | 3D Objects
The default positioning of the “Select, Move and Align” control grips for 3D objects has been optimized, making them more accessible and user-friendly for adjustments.
